We represent the missionary arm of the Assemblies of God movement in Mozambique. This covering organisation is called World Wide Missions, (Missão Mundial) which is based in Cape Town, South Africa. Our names are Eugene & Tina Wessels.

We believe that the Bible is the inerrant Word Of God, and in terms of the command of Jesus Christ (Mat 28:19-20) to go to all nations making disciples and teaching them to obey all that He has commanded, we live out our lives in obedience to this. We strongly feel that our job is to equip the local believers to do the actual work of evangelism, church planting and ultimately to also continue the discipling of new believers.

We therefore spend the majority of our time in discipleship training, based in the town of Quelimane, which is situated in a fairly central position, relative to the length of the country. We also spend a fair portion of our time traveling around this huge country, visiting the districts where former evangelists have planted about 200 churches over the last 18 years and we have established teaching/training centres in a number of the major provinces.
